This isn't your typical continuous improvement engineering role.
Yes, this role supports plant operations in contributing towards improving safety, quality, and operational performance.
Yes, a core piece will be driving lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility and support new product launch initiatives.

Continuous Improvement Activities:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across various departments within the organization, focusing on operational efficiency, quality improvement, and waste reduction.
Utilize lean methodologies and tools (such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, Standard Work, and Kanban) to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop action plans for improvement.
Conduct data analysis and utilize statistical tools to measure process performance, identify trends, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Facilitate and lead process improvement workshops, training sessions, and team meetings to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
Drive the implementation of new technologies, automation, and digital solutions to optimize processes and improve productivity.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to improve the overall supply chain efficiency and quality of materials or services.
Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in continuous improvement and apply them to enhance organizational performance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
A Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (X years) as a Continuous Improvement Engineer or similar role, preferably in industry/sector .
Strong knowledge and application of lean methodologies and tools.
Experience with data analysis and statistical tools for performance measurement and improvement.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to industry/sector is desirable.
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
